About us

The Office of the Proctor plays a pivotal role in maintaining discipline, safety, and order within the university campus. As the primary body responsible for ensuring a secure and conducive academic environment, the Proctor’s Office oversees student conduct, enforces university regulations, and addresses grievances related to discipline and security. The Office of the Proctor at the Islamic University of Science and Technology is led by the Chief Proctor—who also serves as the Registrar of the University—along with the Senior Proctor and a committed team of Proctors. The office works in close coordination with the university administration, faculty, student bodies, and security personnel to foster a campus culture rooted in mutual respect, accountability, and integrity. It also liaises with local authorities when necessary and takes proactive steps to prevent and address issues related to indiscipline, misconduct, or security concerns. To accomplish of the said purpose the office has the following mandate: Monitoring campus security and disciplinary atmosphere among students. Addressing student discipline issues and enforcing the university code of conduct. Managing complaints and grievances related to behavioral misconduct. Coordinating investigations into disciplinary matters and recommending appropriate actions. Organizing awareness programs on student rights, responsibilities, and campus ethics. Ensuring security at examination centers during entrance and admission tests to facilitate a fair, transparent, and disturbance-free examination process. Regulating campus vehicular traffic and parking to ensure safety, orderliness, and ease of access. Through its unwavering commitment to safety, fairness, and justice, the Office of the Proctor contributes significantly to the university’s mission of providing a supportive and respectful learning environment for all.
