About Us

The AICTE IDEA Lab at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir, is a cutting-edge facility designed to promote creativity, innovation, and experiential learning among students and faculty. As the only university in the Jammu and Kashmir region to host such a facility (with an investment of approximately ₹2.16 Crore), the IDEA Lab provides access to advanced tools, technologies, and collaborative spaces to turn ideas into practical solutions. As part of the national AICTE initiative, it encourages the application of STEM fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, "learning by doing," and product visualization. Embedded within the institution, the lab empowers students and faculty to “engage, explore, experience, express, and excel,” addressing the need for new-age learning while promoting multidisciplinary education and research.
