The Central Workshop at the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) serves as a foundational platform for imparting practical skills and engineering insight to our students. Since its establishment, the workshop has played a key role in bridging the gap between theoretical learning and hands-on application, particularly for first-year students beginning their technical journey. Our primary objective is to equip students with essential workshop practices such as machining, fitting, carpentry, welding, and allied skills, while fostering a culture of safety, precision, and professionalism. The workshop also supports students in developing prototypes and executing project work, thereby encouraging creativity and problem-solving abilities. Over the years, we have steadily enhanced our infrastructure and facilities to meet the growing academic and technical demands of various departments. We continue to strive towards integrating modern tools and practices, ensuring that our students are exposed to relevant and industry-aligned skill sets.
