Master of Arts in International Relations (Peace & Conflict Studies)

Introduction
The M.A. program in International Relations offers an interdisciplinary approach that brings together International Relations, Strategic Studies, Security Studies, and Peace and Conflict Studies. Its distinctiveness lies in its engagement with contemporary global and regional challenges, supported by a curriculum that remains dynamic and responsive to evolving academic and policy debates. The program encompasses a comprehensive range of subjects, including international history, grand strategic thought, and international security, as well as South Asian studies, gender and violence, ethnic conflicts, and peace processes. The program also offers critically engaging courses on political economy, environmental security, foreign policy, conflict resolution, and international law.

Eligibility
A candidate having a Bachelor’s degree in any disciple obtained from a recognised institution is eligible to apply. Mid-career professionals such as lawyers, journalists and NGO workers are encouraged to apply.

In addition to the prospects available in academia, the skill and knowledge acquired by students at the CIR equip them to pursue careers in a wide range of fields, more specifically international organizations, international non-governmental organizations, local non–governmental organizations, think tanks and the public sector.
