B. A. Political Science (Four Year Undergraduate Programme)

Introduction
The Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in Political Science provides students with a strong foundation in politics, governance, and international relations. Designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical understanding, the program fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and informed engagement with contemporary political issues at national, regional, and global levels. By combining core political science concepts with interdisciplinary perspectives, the program equips students for advanced studies, research, and diverse career pathways in academia, public administration, policy analysis, international organizations, and civil society.

Eligibility
Any candidate who has passed Senior Secondary (10+2) from an Institution recognised by the State Board of School Education or equivalent is eligible for admission.

In addition to opportunities in academia, the skills and knowledge acquired by students at the Centre for International Relations (CIR) prepare them for diverse professional pathways. Graduates can pursue careers in: Teaching and Academia (schools, colleges, and universities), International Organizations (e.g., United Nations, World Bank, regional organizations), International and Local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Think Tanks and Research Institutions, Public Sector and Civil Services, Policy Analysis and Advocacy, Media, Diplomacy, and International Affairs. The program equips students with strong analytical, research, and communication skills, enabling them to contribute effectively across academic, public, and professional domains.
