About Us

The Watson–Crick Centre for Molecular Medicine is a multidisciplinary biomedical research centre at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST). The Centre was established to understand the fundamental biological processes that govern human health and disease and to translate these discoveries into improved approaches for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Our research spans a broad range of disciplines, including molecular and cell biology, genetics, genomics, epigenetics, microbiology, immunology, cancer biology, infectious diseases, neuroscience, computational biology, and precision medicine. By bringing together researchers with diverse expertise, we seek to answer important biological questions that are difficult to address through a single discipline. The Centre also serves as a hub for research training. Students and early-career researchers work alongside experienced scientists, gaining practical research experience while developing the technical skills, cr
